The Outpatient Infusion Center at Southern Virginia Regional Medical Center offers intravenous infusion services for a wide range of conditions.
E. Brent Perkins, M.D., an oncologist from Virginia Commonwealth University Massy Cancer Center, is our Medical Director. He oversees treatments for cancer patients requiring chemotherapy, sickle cell patients who need blood transfusions, patients who require daily intravenous antibiotic therapy and others who need various IV therapy treatments and procedures.
Our certified oncology nurses and support staff work closely with medical professionals from Virginia Commonwealth Massy Cancer Center to provide complete care for intravenous patients. Together, they offer complimentary transportation for radiation therapy and patient teaching, a nurse on-call program and a team dedicated to your emotional, physical and mental wellbeing.

Q. Are visitors allowed to see patients in the Outpatient Infusion Center?
A. Yes, but we ask that each patient limit visitors to one person. Children under
12 are not permitted in the center to protect patients with sensitive immune systems.
Q. Where can I park?
A. Patients and visitors may park in any of the hospital’s parking areas.
Q. Are meals provided?
A. Patients are served a light meal if receiving services during lunch. Light
snacks are also available upon request.
Q. What resources are available to help pass the time?
A. There are TVs and reading materials in each patient room.
